Capture your travel experiences through your camera's eye. We seek original, well shot, high quality photographs that effortlessly and immediately transport viewers away from the quotidian and into the magical folds of some far-off wonderland. Although you may submit multiple photographs, only one image per traveler will be selected for publication. Flash Fiction

A touch of the alchemist? Turn your travels into literature. We invite you to compose a compact, "grab the reader by the seat of her pants" tale that adeptly captures a locale or travel itinerary in fewer than 500 words. Flash fiction is a sub-genre of the short story characterized by limited word length but otherwise adhering to the conventional elements of a short story: compelling characters, an engaging plot that includes a conflict and resolution, and a consistent/believable point of view.

The e-Marginalia "contest model" permits us to encourage and reward excellent travel "storytelling" in its various formats. We track the popularity of nine finalists for each contest and reward the top three according to schedule below.
